Since 2015 Amida meetings have been held in Perth, Scotland, where there is a ‘home temple’ shrine room in the home of Sujatin Johnson. Home temples are traditional in Pureland Buddhism.

Sujatin is an Amida priest, one of the Acharyas, and is the senior minister with the Order. Prior to her move to Scotland she ran the Amida Newcastle sangha for 13 years and was Buddhist Chaplain at Newcastle and Northumbria Universities.

She teaches basic Buddhism, specifically, Amida Pureland Buddhism, and offers opportunities for Pureland practice – including chanting, walking, sitting, gentle guided meditation, music, some dancing, some art events – in a warm and welcoming space.
